Position Overview

A leading manufacturer is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join its production team in Fulton, IL. The Industrial Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in a heavy industrial environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring safe operations, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment, wiring, PLCs, and control systems.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant electrical systems, machinery, and production lines.

  • Diagnose electrical malfunctions and implement solutions in a timely and safe manner.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and applicable electrical codes.

  • Assist in training operators and maintenance staff on equipment operation and safety practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, Electrical Technician, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and motor controls.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.

  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting under pressure.

  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E safety standards.

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Additional Information

  • Work Environment: Heavy manufacturing facility; exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery.

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, climb, and work in confined spaces; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Schedule: 2nd, shift depending on business needs; overtime and weekends as required.
