Pay: $150,000.00 per year

Note: This position requires employees to work in a hybrid model (some in-office in New York City, some remote) at our client’s NYC office.

Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have a J.D. and at least 3 years of employment law litigation experience.

Job Description

  • Represent employees in employment litigation, including discrimination, retaliation, wage/hour, and leave-related claims
  • Draft and respond to demand letters, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs
  • Appear before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies (EEOC, NYSDHR, DOL)
  • Conduct and defend depositions, argue motions, and participate in mediations and settlement conferences
  • Manage individual caseloads from intake through resolution while collaborating closely with partners
  • Contribute to the firm’s strategic growth in the New York market

Qualifications

  • J.D. and admission to the New York Bar (admission in MA, CT, or NJ a plus)
  • Minimum 3 years of employment law litigation experience, preferably plaintiff-side
  • Proven ability to manage all phases of litigation, from drafting to trial preparation
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to protecting employee rights and advancing workplace fairness
