If you’re the kind of engineer who likes taking a half-baked idea and turning it into a production-grade AI system, keep reading.
\nThis isn’t a “wait for the spec” kind of role. You’ll be shaping architecture, shipping code, and collaborating across design, product, and research to bring next-generation AI features to life.
\nYou’re a builder. A problem-solver. Someone who’s comfortable with ambiguity and loves getting things into production.
\nIdeally:
\n5+ years post-college experience — bonus if most of it was at one place (we like people who see things through).
\nDeep background in backend systems and applied AI.
\nProven track record of building, scaling, and shipping real-world AI products.
\nExcitement for healthcare — or at least curiosity about how AI can make it better.
\nPartner with Product, Design, and Engineering to define and deliver cutting-edge AI capabilities.
\nBuild and scale AI and LLM agent software in a fast-moving environment.
\nWork hands-on across data pipelines, context systems, and cloud infrastructure.
\nBring new AI features from concept to production — fast.
\nExperience: 3+ years professional backend experience post-college (internships don’t count). Full-time, long-term track record preferred.
\nStack: Go, Python, or similar. If your fundamentals are strong, you’ll pick it up.
\nArchitecture: Cloud/serverless (GCP preferred). You know how to build modern, scalable systems.
\nAI/ML Exposure: Context Engineering, Embedding Systems, Semantic & Keyword Search, LLM Agent Design, probabilistic/statistical systems — you’ve worked with at least a few.
\nEducation: Bachelor’s in CS or related field from a top university.
\nExperience building healthcare or regulated AI systems.
\nComfort with analytics infrastructure and data pipelines.
\nPassion for ownership — you care about outcomes, not just code.
\nWe’re remote-first, but most of the team is in the Bay Area, and we meet up regularly in San Francisco. Expect autonomy, velocity, and a high-trust culture.
\nIf you want to work on hard problems, with a small team that moves fast and ships real AI products — this is it.
