Maintenance Technician

Shift Hours: 7 am - 3 pm 

Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician will install, maintain, repair, and inspect mechanical equipment and process piping systems in a manufacturing facility. The role supports production, administrative, laboratory, and warehouse buildings.

Essential Functions

  • Install, maintain, and repair equipment such as pumps, mixers, filters, piping systems, heating/cooling systems, process vessels, and plumbing.
  • Monitor facility systems including boilers, cooling water, air compressors, hydraulic pumps, and wastewater systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, lubrication, filter changes, inspections).
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures in collaboration with operations and engineering.

  • Train junior maintenance staff as needed.

  • Transport supplies and materials using company vehicles.

  • Support inventory management and requisition of materials.

  • Perform minor building repairs (painting, carpentry, concrete/drywall repair).

  •  

    Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, lifts, earth movers).
  • Safely rig, lift, and position heavy equipment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; technical program or 2-year technical college certificate preferred.
  • 2-3 years of maintenance experience (manufacturing/industrial facility experience preferred).
  • Pipefitting and multiple pipe jointing methods experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Office 365 proficiency.

  • Journeyman license preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of PPE, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, hot work, and other safe work practices.
  • Ability to interpret drawings/blueprints, maintain repair records, and keep a clean, organized shop area.
