Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 base salary + benefits

The team is composed of lawyers who have either held a federal clerkship, practiced at an AmLaw 200 firm, or graduated in the top 10% of their law school. Their Appellate Practice is ranked Tier 5 in the metro ratings.

Description:
This role offers a rare opportunity for a seasoned litigation paralegal to work closely with some of the most experienced appellate attorneys in Florida. The paralegal will support attorneys throughout the appellate process—from notice of appeal to final disposition—managing critical deadlines, formatting briefs, compiling records, and ensuring procedural compliance in both state and federal appellate courts.
The paralegal will also provide traditional litigation support in civil cases, including drafting routine filings, coordinating with court clerks, managing case dockets, and supporting deposition and hearing preparation. This is a highly visible role with room for influence and advancement, ideal for someone seeking a long-term fit in a fast-paced but collegial environment.
Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Legal Studies with Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor's Degree equivalent

Minimum 8 years of experience supporting legal drafting, writing and filing as a paralegal or similar job function

This role requires quality writing, grammar, literary and proofreading of the English language.

The qualified individual will be familiar with state and county electronic document management and legal filing portals, such as eALJ, myfloridacourtaccess.com, and cvweb.leonclerk.com.

The day-to-day requirements will involve an understanding of the parameters surrounding e-docketing and e-filing, such as maintaining strict a PDF/A , 8" x 11" format.

The paralegal will be tasked to manage a caseload of 25+ cases monthly and will be expected to maintain filings with acute attention to detail and precision.

The hired individual should be thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strict timelines
Preferred:

Demonstrated expertise in appellate procedure (state and federal).

Experience working in a "big law" environment (Am Law 200/100 firms)

Expertise with legal tech tools and case management softwares (Clio, FileVine, MyCase, Relativity, PracticePanther)
