We are seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to join our manufacturing team in Freeport, IL. The Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial machinery and mechanical systems in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role ensures equipment reliability, supports continuous production, and contributes to plant safety and efficiency.
\n\nInstall, assemble, and align machinery and equipment according to layouts, blueprints, and schematics.
\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment, conveyors, presses, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
\nTroubleshoot mechanical failures and implement timely, cost-effective repairs.
\nMaintain and repair bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, and other rotating equipment.
\nWeld, fabricate, and machine parts as needed to support maintenance and repair activities.
\nCollaborate with electricians and maintenance staff to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
\nDocument all maintenance activities in accordance with company standards.
\nFollow OSHA and plant safety guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment.
\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
\nMinimum 3 years of Millwright or Industrial Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
\nStrong mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
\nProficiency in welding, machining, and fabrication techniques.
\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
\nFamiliarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
\nCommitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
\nHeavy manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery.
\nRequires standing, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
\nOvertime and weekend work may be required depending on production needs.
