This full time, permanent Custom Extruded Plastic Tooling Engineering Designer is at a growing, very flexible, employee- friendly, ISO certified manufacturer of plastic extrusion products. This position could grow into a department head position, if that is of interest. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should include the following:
- Creating plastic extrusion tooling designs for profile extrusion, co-extrusion and tri-extrusion
- Directing the designing, building, modifying, installing and maintaining efforts
- Assisting machine operators and machinists
- Adjusting the extrusion tooling
- Working with the manufacturing team to troubleshoot and improve production processes
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
- Three or more years of plastic extrusion tooling design experience for profile extrusion, co-extrusion and tri-extrusion
- Three or more years of strong extrusion processing experience
- Strong extrusion processing knowledge
- A solid work history
- A US citizen or possess a green card
- A residence within 45 minutes
