Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer with core competency in rotating equipment requires diverse experience in mechanical engineering, condition monitoring, performance monitoring, high speed turbo equipment
repair and maintenance. 

Additional duties encompass managing small to medium Rotating Equipment related projects to enhance equipment safety and reliability. This chemical plant facility requires a Rotating Equipment Engineer to possess experience with API & ANSI pumps, large steam turbines and centrifugal compressors. 

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with knowledge in implementing reliability strategies that include real-time vibration analysis, efficiency monitoring and lubrication predictive analysis. Highly desirable experience in the ability to guide teams through an improvement process using root cause analysis and Rotating Equipment troubleshooting. This role will provide direct technical support to Operations, Maintenance and Project Engineering for long-term reliability improvement and the selection of rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will perform engineering duties related to identification and managing asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. This broad primary role may be divided into three smaller, more manageable roles: Unplanned Loss Elimination, Risk Management and Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM).Your scope of responsibility- Consistently makes sound decisions based on engineering knowledgeand experience.- Serve as a member of cross-functional team to resolve RotatingEquipment problems, investigate unplanned incidents, and improvereliability. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to deliverengineering information of a high quality to all levels of theorganization.- Team player, working well across departments with different levelsof the organization.- Read and interpret specifications, technical drawings, schematics,or predictive analysis reports.- Works with Project Engineering to ensure reliability andmaintainability of new and modified Rotating Equipmentinstallations.- Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities andprovide technical support for major capital Rotating Equipmentprojects.- Conduct performance analysis of rotating equipment to identifyinefficiencies & operating deviations to provide a resolutionthrough actions to resolve. - Participate continuous improvement of reliability of rotatingequipment through the development and application of effectivereliability strategies such as: vibration and lubricationstrategies, identification & assessment of risks, root cause and badactor analysis and spare parts reviews. - Partner with vendors to resolve technical problems and develop newsolutions. - Develop rotating equipment restoration/repair scopes for alloutages, as well as major and turnaround maintenance events.- Identifies and assesses new technologies related to rotatingequipment and auxiliary systems. - Works towards continuous improvement of the reliability of rotatingequipment through the development and application of effectivereliability strategies, the identification of risks, root causeanalysis and team-based problem solving using and implementingindustry best practices and standards. Partner with vendors toresolve equipment technical problems.- Applies engineering principles in making improvements in design,operating practices, and restoration of spares parts to meetbusiness needs.- Confer with other engineers or technical personnel to implementoperating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or providetechnical information.- Leads research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design,operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems forimproved reliability or efficiency.- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faultyoperation, and to make recommendations.- Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipatereliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that couldadversely impact plant operation.- Identifies premature and repetitive failures in plant equipment anddevelops solutions to resolve same. - Leverages site reliability improvement/tracking data systems toidentify Rotating Equipment bad actors.- Assist in root cause failure analysis on critical equipmentfailures.- Review project design packages for proper design regardingreliability, application, and maintenance.  - Develop, review, and maintain equipment specifications as related topurchasing, installation, operation, and maintenance/repairs.   - Always conduct themselves in a professional image, especially duringinteractions with peers, clients and vendors while maintaining apositive reputation for the company.- Must be self-motivated and possess skills to identify and solveunusual problems.- Must be capable of making decisions and recommendations with minimalsupervision.- Must be willing to spend time in the field as required.- Ability to use computers and computer systems utilizing standardsoftware (ie; Microsoft Suite, SAP, Bently Nevada System 1 EVO)- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering required.- Minimum 10 years’ experience working in the chemical orpetrochemical industry required, - Experience in a continuous process industry a plus, preferablychemicals or oil refining.

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations- CMRP or CRL is a plus.- Pro Engineer (PE) License is a plus.
