DIRECTOR OF SURGICAL SERVICES

The Director of Surgical Services leads the perioperative team, focusing on safe patient care while effectively managing operations. The Director of Surgical Services has 24/7 responsibility for their departments.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in nursing required

Master’s degree in nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred

3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required

Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) preferred

Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred

The hospital needs a very strong, experienced candidate who can take control of the OR and its staff and hold everyone accountable.

There are 14 ORs in the main hospital, and across the street, there are 3 ORs. They need someone with extensive OR Director experience!

Level 1 trauma, open heart, no transplant
Joint commission will be there next year or 2025, had CMS there earlier this year
3 managers total reporting to DSS
FTE's - 100 FTE's ballpark
Requires previous director experience
