NICET CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR – NEW JERSEY

 

GovStaff is seeking NICET II and III Certified Construction Inspectors for an immediate openings we have in New Jersey working on the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway (GSP).  Candidates should have NJ turnpike experience, especially with bridges. New York and Pennsylvania experience will be considered. Current job openings are near the New Brunswick, NJ exits. Expected future needs are near the Delaware Bridge area.

All positions require a National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Certification level II, III or IV. Pay depends on experience, education, and certification level.

 

WORK DETAILS:

  •         Implementation of lane shifts and/or traffic detours
  •         Nightly lane closings
  •         Selective replacement of complete deck panels bounded by stringers and diaphragms
  •         Partial depth concrete spall repairs
  •         Curb surface repairs with provisions for temporary electrical service
  •         Isolated parapet replacement including new electrical conduits and service
  •         Removal and Bridge Repairs and Resurfacing, membrane/asphalt system
  •         High performance concrete in deck and parapet, structural steel repairs
  •         Substructure repairs
  •         Laminated elastomeric bearings
  •         Emergency and routine repairs under cost plus compensation
  •         Installation of concrete construction barrier and other incidental work.

Inspectors for concrete construction shall be certified by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) as a Concrete Field-Testing Technician. If certification is not currently held, employer assistance may be provided for the selected professionals.

 

Inspectors for paving operations shall be certified by the Society of Asphalt Technologists (SAT) as an Asphalt Paving Construction Technologist. If certification is not currently held, employer assistance may be provided.
