A leading law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join its California offices (Los Angeles, Orange County, or Century City). This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial real estate matters with a team of highly regarded attorneys.
Experience Level: 3–6 years
Compensation: $190,000 – $300,000 (depending on experience, skills, and qualifications)
The Real Estate Associate will handle a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. The role requires significant drafting and negotiating experience, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal oversight while collaborating within a team-oriented environment.
Draft and negotiate commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, and joint venture agreements.
Conduct title and survey reviews, manage closing processes, and perform transactional due diligence.
Work with developers, owners, investors, and lenders on financing, development, and investment matters.
Advise clients on entity structures, contracts, and other real estate-related documentation.
Provide practical, solutions-oriented counsel while managing risk and meeting deadlines.
3–6 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, including leasing and acquisitions/dispositions.
Strong drafting, organizational, and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to manage matters independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Admission to the State Bar of California required.
Large law firm experience or equivalent complex transaction experience preferred.
Practical business experience in real estate, and/or membership in ULI, NAIOP, or similar industry associations, is a plus.
