Maderra Personnel is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Contract Process Engineer in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize processes to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
  • Provide technical engineering design and optimization support to the operation, including process modelling, compressor evaluations, equipment sizing and specification, and device sizing.
  • Analyze operational data to troubleshoot issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, operators, and other stakeholders to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Prepare process documentation, including Process flow diagrams, Piping and instrumentation Diagrams, Shut-down Keys, and Control narratives
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all process engineering activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer sanctioned by APEGA with ability to authenticate engineering deliverables
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Working knowledge of Upstream Conventional oil and gas industry, well-pad, compressor station, oil battery, and facility design Knowledge and application of frequently used codes (ASME B31.3, CSA Z662, etc) and Industry standards (API, etc)
  • Strong knowledge of process design, optimization, and control in brownfield and greenfield well pads, gathering sites, compressor stations, and facilities.
  • Proficiency in using process simulation and modeling software: HYSYS, Promax.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
