Maderra Personnel is currently seeking qualified individuals for the position of Quality Technician – Turnover & Offshore in St. John's, NL.

The timeline for this position to transition to offshore will be June/July on a 28 day rotation - 12 hours per day.

Responsibilities:

  • The Quality Technician - Turnover & Offshore will be a part of the Project Quality Organization and will be responsible for the review and compilation of project construction and testing records in preparation form Commissioning, Loadout and Turnover to Operations.
 

Turnover (Onshore):

  • Overall Coordination, review, signoff of Construction Turnover Documentation
  • Complies completed documentation in the required format for operations.
  • Prepares specific Dossier for use during commissioning and Operations (Mechanical Completion Dossiers, Certifications Dossiers, Vessel Registers)
  • Prepares Performance Dashboards and reports to Quality Team on Documentation status
  • Maintains comment logs and punch list and ensure all actions are addressed and closed out
  • Works with Quality and Technical Teams from both the owner and contractors to ensure document comments are addresses and properly closed out
  • Works with Mechanical Completion and Commissioning teams to ensure that required documents are provided for use/reference
  • Ensures accepted documentation is turned over to owners Document Management team for processing
 

Offshore:

  • Conduct Quality Review of Commissioning procedures and Work packages, provide comments to Offshore HUC contractor
  • Oversees HUC contractor welding and NDE work scope offshore (Develops inspection protocol, Ensures inspection are being completed as required, Reviews quality records supporting successful completion of work, Signs off on Inspection test Records)
  • Conducts Quality Surveillance Activities on Offshore Commissioning
  • Ensure Commissioning procedures are executed and closed out
  • Monitor ongoing punch list and ensure timely and effective closure
  • Interfaces with Certifying authority to ensure Certification requirements are met
  • Complies daily reports and issues to Management
  • Reports on Offshore HUC Quality Key performance indicators
 

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • 5-10 years of related experience
  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry considered an asset
  • Knowledge in Quality Management Systems and ISO-9001 Standard
  • Knowledge of Welding and Non-Destructive testing process and the abilities to review and validates associated records
  • Working knowledge of software and the ability to manages spreadsheets and create reports using Microsoft Suite
  • Experience in Preparing Final Turnover documentation and Documents for Operations (DFO)
  • Basic Survival Training (BST) would be considered an asset
