Job Description

  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of trust administration, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
  • Prepare trust administration documents, including certifications of trust, trustee notifications, and affidavits.
  • Handle real property transfers, including grant deeds, affidavits, and related assessor forms.
  • Coordinate with trustees, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other professionals throughout the trust administration process.
  • Prepare estate valuation reports, asset inventories, and trust funding documentation.
  • Assist with trust distributions, including preparing distribution summaries, waivers, and receipts.
  • Draft and file probate-related documents as needed.
  • Maintain accurate client records, case notes, and deadlines in legal case management software.
  • Provide administrative support, including scanning, filing, and organizing trust administration documents.
  • Attend regular team meetings and participate in ongoing legal education.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal Certificate required.
  • Minimum of three years of trust administration experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning, trust administration, and related legal procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • California Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain.
