Our client, a prestigious Southeastern law firm, is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join their growing Construction Practice Group in Charleston. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex litigation matters, representing developers, home builders, general contractors, and other key players in the construction industry.

Candidate Profile:

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.

• Bar Admission in South Carolina.

• 1–6 years of substantive experience in complex litigation.

• Experience in construction law is a plus, but not required.

• Experience representing parties in complex litigation, including managing discovery, depositions, motions practice, trial preparation, and attending hearings.

• Strong communication, research, and writing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in litigation matters related to construction disputes, including defective work, delays, contract claims, and design defects.

• Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, drafting pleadings, arguing motions, and preparing for trial.

• Advise clients on contract negotiation, risk management, and regulatory compliance to help prevent disputes before they arise.

• Participate in mediation, arbitration, and litigation in both federal and state courts.

• Advocate for clients before government regulatory bodies on licensing and building code issues.

• Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
