Senior/Staff EngineerSan Francisco, CA (On-site) | $140k - $190k base salary + generous equity

A fast-growing AI company is seeking a Senior/Staff Engineer to develop and scale its core investigation platform, which supports financial crime teams in automating workflows such as suspicious activity investigations, entity due diligence, and regulatory reporting. The company has secured $4.8M in funding from top-tier investors and serves clients across three continents.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance the company’s core investigation platform.

• Build new products focused on automating compliance workflows.

• Collaborate with customers to scope solutions for complex and ambiguous challenges.

• Design backend systems and architect scalable software solutions.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience in fullstack or backend engineering.

• Experience in building 0-1 products.

• A track record of staying 2.5+ years at a company (multiple 1-year stints may raise concerns).

• Proficiency with NextJS, Node, Postgres, Typescript, and Supabase, or the ability to learn quickly.

• Previous experience in high-growth, seed to Series B startups or similar environments.

• Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in AI, fintech, or financial services.

• Background in customer interaction during product development.
