Job Description

  • Serve as primary handling attorney on civil litigation defense cases
  • Manage all stages of litigation including discovery, depositions, court appearances, mediations, and pre-trial preparation
  • Collaborate with partners and clients to strategize on case development and resolution
  • Prepare legal documents including motions and correspondence
  • Participate in occasional trial preparation and proceedings
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates
  • Utilize a legal assistant for administrative support

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in California
  • At least 4 year of civil litigation experience (plaintiff or defense side)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with court rules, calendaring, and civil procedure in state and federal courts
  • Ability to manage caseload independently and meet billable hour requirements
