Project Manager - Heavy Civil- Bridges
 
Description: As a Project Manager - Heavy Civil, reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will lead critical infrastructure projects with the following responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple bridge and structure projects for state road and highway initiatives.- Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations for clients, briefing teammates and senior leadership.- Schedule and coordinate project interactions, managing interdisciplinary teams of professionals and support staff.- Apply expertise in Federal and State-funded bridge projects, ensuring compliance with procedural, review, and approval requirements.- Engage clients and department managers to discuss project specifics and represent the company with clients and subcontractors during project execution.- Negotiate scope changes with clients and subcontractors, pursue additional work opportunities, and follow up on project commitments.- Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and represent the company in public meetings.- Implement Project Execution Plans, Health and Safety Plans, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plans, and other required documentation.- Collaborate with managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and project plans, ensuring goals are met or exceeded.
 
Requirements:- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis), Construction Management, or related field from an accredited institution, with 10+ years of engineering design/management experience on bridge and structure projects.- Experience in rehabilitation or replacement of mechanical, electrical, and bridge control systems; familiarity with moveable bridge projects preferred.- Prior Project Management experience in the NYC area on heavy civil projects, including cost reporting, engineering submittals, work plans, RFIs, CPM scheduling, T&M billing, and change orders.- Strong client management skills with a hands-on technical approach.- Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.- OSHA 30 certification (preferred).- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of Procore, MS Project, and Primavera P6 is a plus.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
