Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and grant accounting.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, non-profit accounting standards, and federal/state regulations.

Present financial reports to the Board of Directors and senior leadership, providing actionable insights.

\nBudgeting & Forecasting:\n

Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with program and executive leadership.

Develop financial forecasts and monitor budget performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.

Support grant budgeting and reporting, ensuring proper allocation of restricted and unrestricted funds.

\nCompliance & Risk Management:\n

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings (e.g., Form 990) and audits.

Oversee internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and mitigate financial risks.

Coordinate and manage annual audits, liaising with external auditors to ensure a smooth process.

Supervise and mentor a small accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.

Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a non-profit organization.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
