Overview of Role:
This position is with a early-stage startup company that has developed a sustainable technology to produce a very common chemical that is used in wide variety industries. They are currently at bench scale and looking to scale-up to commercial demonstration scale. They are looking for a creative chemical engineer with well-developed skillsets in process simulation/modeling and design as well as process scale up. Equipment includes pressure vessels, heat exchangers, gas handling equipment, tubing, and controls as well as the associated structural equipment for what will ultimately be a skid-mounted process technology. They are looking for the type of person who is systems and detailed oriented and who likes the challenge of building things.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering required, advanced degree preferred
- Should have experience working with processes that use pressurized gases; this would include chemical manufacturing, oil & gas, etc.
- Previous startup experience is highly preferred
- A huge plus would be previous experience developing first-of-a-kind technology (concept to prototype).
