What They Need:

Because they produce such a wide range of products and dosage forms, the QC lab at this company is a busy place. They have had periods of time where this area has run well, and other times where it hasn’t run well, but an on-going issue has been consistently sustained high performance. The current Quality Director has held this role in the past and is looking for a strong leader who can not only get this area to a higher level of performance but can also maintain that high level over time. The better the quality control area of their manufacturing process is, the better they are able to serve their customers in a timely manner. This role will be about 70% managerial in nature and this role will have a total team of about 35-40 people reporting them through 5-6 direct reports.

What You Will Bring:

• B.S./B.A. degree in science or engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in a laboratory environment, particularly in a high-throughput laboratory environment
• Should have at least 3 years of lab management experience and be able to demonstrate, through example, having the ability to elevate the performance of the people and team around them as well as get results from a process improvement standpoint
• Requisite regulatory/compliance background is a must-have, including cGMP regulations
• Requisite lab equipment and technical background is also a must-have – HPLC/GC testing, USP monographs, etc.
