About the Role

Our client, a fast-moving startup in the cellular networking space is looking for a technical front line for our customers. The company brings complete insight, visibility and threat prevention to all devices connected to private LTE & 5G networks.

About You:

You’ll handle troubleshooting, deployment, and integration of the product across 4G/5G core, IP routing, and Linux/Kubernetes environments. This is an L2/L3-style role with real ownership and hands-on technical work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform product deployments and integrations with customer systems and third-party platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability.
  • Troubleshoot 4G/5G core paths (EPC/5GC) and IP networking issues using logs, pcaps, and metrics.
  • Operate and support Linux servers and Kubernetes clusters (deployments, upgrades, rollbacks, performance, and networking).
  • Own customer incidents end-to-end: triage, reproduce, debug, fix/workaround, and follow through to closure.
  • Provide Delivery and R&D with clear, technical case briefings: context and impact, reproduction steps, logs/pcaps, relevant configs/diagrams, constraints, and recommended next actions to accelerate triage and delivery.
  • Deliver clear Root Cause Analyses (RCA) with preventive actions within agreed SLAs.
  • Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and partners to unblock delivery and drive multi-party resolution.
  • Create and run playbooks and knowledge base articles to reduce time-to-resolve.
  • Instrument and monitor systems (alerts, dashboards) to detect issues early.
  • Feed product/R&D with crisp bug reports and usability feedback.
  • Work autonomously with remote R&D teams: drive async collaboration across time zones, manage handoffs via tickets/docs, maintain momentum without close supervision, and lead ad-hoc “war rooms” when needed.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with cellular networking (4G & 5G): basic RF understanding; strong core and IP network knowledge.
  • Hands-on IP networking & routing: routing protocols (e.g., OSPF/BGP), subnetting, NAT, firewalls.
  • Hands-on Linux server knowledge + Kubernetes: deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven remote support & customer guidance experience.
  • Customer-facing skills: deliver RCAs and coordinate third parties to advance delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in product deployment and integration in enterprise or telco environments.
  • Ability to independently manage and execute technical deployments from planning to completion.

Nice-to-Have

  • Tools: Wireshark/tcpdump, iproute2, kubectl/Helm, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/Opensearch.
  • Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), Terraform/Ansible, container networking (CNI), service meshes.
  • Familiarity with EPC/5GC components (MME/SGW/PGW, AMF/SMF/UPF), signaling and user-plane flows.
  • Telco standards (3GPP), basic RF metrics (RSRP/RSRQ/SINR), eSIM/eUICC flows.
  • Experience in startups or 24×7 customer environments; scripting (Bash/Python).
  • Exposure to enterprise onboarding processes and customer success methodologies.
