PSM Engineer

Location: Point Comfort, TX

Salary Range: $112,000 to $160,000 + incentive/bonus

Paid Relocation: YES – Full Relocation Package

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance
Risk Management Program (RMP) compliance/Reducing process safety-related risks
Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA)
Engineering evaluations/gap assessments
Development of related risk reduction recommendations
Ensure compliance with all State, Federal policies.
MOC

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of five (5) years petrochemical facility or refinery
Background in all elements of Process Safety and Risk Management
Risk Management Program (RMP)
Implementation of OSHA’s Process Safety Management

Technical Skills Required

Tracking and application of regulatory requirements for Process Safety
Management PHA-related computer software
Dispersion modelling software (Aloha, PHAST, etc.)
PHA/LOPA software (PHAPro)
Computer skills: MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

Certification/Training - Process Safety Management (PSM) Engineer

Process Hazard Analysis Leader training (focus on HAZOP)
Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
Safety Instrument System (SIS)
Training to Gain Function-Related Technical Knowledge
