We are seeking a full-time Cost Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is a 100% on-site position based in Elgin, IL.

The Cost Accountant plays a key role in supporting our U.S. manufacturing operations by delivering accurate and insightful cost reporting and analysis, helping drive informed decisions that impact profitability and efficiency.
Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, variances, and margins
Partner with production and operations to ensure accurate cost tracking
Review sales quotes to ensure full and accurate cost allocations
Perform profitability and cost analysis for products and product lines
Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, including cycle counts and adjustments
Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close
Assist in compiling monthly financial reporting packages
Investigate and explain significant expense variances
Reconcile key accounts and resolve discrepancies
Continuously improve cost accounting procedures and internal controls
Support special projects and financial initiatives as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or MBA preferred
Minimum 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of US GAAP
ERP experience required; Oracle JDE preferred
Proven career progression in accounting roles
Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools
Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Comfortable working across teams within a global organization
