Clinical Pharmacist – Specialty Infusion Pharmacy

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our specialty infusion pharmacy team. This role provides clinical oversight, patient counseling, and safe preparation/dispensing of complex infusion therapies, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

·        Review/verify infusion prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.

·        Oversee sterile compounding per USP <797> and <800> standards.

·        Counsel patients/caregivers on infusion therapy, side effects, storage, and handling.

·        Monitor labs, therapy response, and adjust per protocols.

·        Collaborate with prescribers, nurses, and case managers to coordinate care.

·        Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

·        PharmD or BS Pharmacy; active state pharmacist license (additional licenses a plus).

·        2+ years’ pharmacy experience, with at least 1 year in specialty or infusion.

·        Knowledge of sterile compounding, biologics, IVIg, and high-cost specialty medications.

·        Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving skills.
