Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development/Sales Engineer/Account Manager to join our team and drive growth in the RF & Optical Semiconductor markets within the Aerospace and Defense sectors. This position requires in-depth technical knowledge of RF components and system-level sales, as well as a strategic mindset to engage with large accounts and identify new business opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in RF & Optical Semiconductor sales with direct customer engagement.
- Proven background in selling RF systems and securing multi-million dollar deals
- Hunter mentality with the ability to pursue new business opportunities aggressively.
- Experience in RF and optical technologies used in aerospace and defense applications.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or ITAR compliance Greencard holder
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory
- An engineering degree is preferred; strong technical acumen is required
- Demonstrated ability to qualify leads independently without heavy engineering support.
- Familiarity with defense appropriations, program funding, and an understanding of how government budgets translate into opportunities
- Long-term growth mindset with a desire to build a career within the company; potential for advancement into senior leadership roles based on performance and contributions.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic RF and optical accounts in the aerospace and defense sectors.
- Develop and execute account strategies that align with customer roadmaps and company growth initiatives.
- Identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities with a focus on expanding the RF pallet product line.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Lead proposal efforts and contract negotiations for multimillion-dollar opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to adjust strategies as needed.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in the government and defense sectors to uncover funding pathways and strategic opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to enhance visibility and engagement.
