Senior AI Software Engineer

Full-Time | Hybrid | NYC

We’re looking for a senior-level software engineer with strong AI product experience to join a mission-driven team focused on improving access to care through intelligent, AI-enabled tools. This is a unique opportunity to lead hands-on integration of large language models and machine learning into real-world systems — with a direct impact on how individuals and organizations navigate complex support workflows.

What You'll Do

• Build and deploy AI-powered features, including tools for automation, smart documentation, and decision support

• Integrate LLMs and ML services directly into the product experience to enhance user and clinical workflows

• Work closely with design, ops, and product to shape user-facing AI functionality

• Own core development across the stack, including backend logic and cloud deployment

• Drive zero-to-one projects, shipping fast while balancing quality and reliability

• Partner cross-functionally to ensure our AI tooling aligns with privacy, compliance, and ethical standards

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years applying AI or LLMs in production

• Track record of building and shipping full-stack AI-powered products

• Proficient in Node.js, TypeScript, and/or Python

• Experience deploying cloud-based applications (AWS preferred)

• Strong product instincts with an ability to turn ambiguous goals into shippable features

• Prior experience in early-stage or fast-moving teams — startup or high-growth environment preferred

• Based in NYC and comfortable working in person 2+ days/week

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare, edtech, or mission-driven sectors

• Background in LLM prompt engineering, API fine-tuning, or embedding-based search

• Exposure to privacy-sensitive or regulated environments
