Their mission-critical solutions support defense, public safety, and commercial applications by delivering actionable data with precision and speed.As they expand operations in the Syracuse, NY region, we’re searching for a Staff Embedded Software Engineer — someone who thrives on solving hard problems, values technical ownership, and enjoys mentoring others in a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture.What You’ll Do:You’ll be a key contributor to the design, development, and deployment of performant embedded systems that:
Detect and track a wide range of airspace targets using advanced radar and sensor tech.
Efficiently process high-volume data with near real-time performance expectations.
Interface with hardware and cloud-based systems.
Mentor junior engineers on-site and influence technical direction through informal leadership.
Shape the software architecture for future product releases.
Help integrate new hardware platforms and support evolving product needs.
What You Bring:
10+ years of industry experience in software engineering, preferably with embedded Linux systems.
Expertise in C++ and Python, and experience building software for Ubuntu or PetaLinux platforms.
Hands-on experience with Git, GitLab CI/CD, and tools like Google Protocol Buffers and ZeroMQ (a plus).
Background in radar systems, RF sensors, or signal processing is highly preferred — but strong engineers from adjacent fields like telecommunications will also be considered.
