As an outpatient pediatric clinician, you will have the chance to work with many children from birth to age twenty-one. Our teammates are dedicated to the treatment of our young patients, providing individualized one-to-one attention and customized plans of care to meet your child’s needs. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend sessions so they can carry skills and home exercises into their child's daily life. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and environmental needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized, client-centered treatment plans to address functional limitations and achieve meaningful goals.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADLs) training, instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and environmental modifications.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on compensatory strategies, home modifications, and safety precautions.
  • Assess and recommend specialized equipment (e.g., mobility aids, splints, assistive technology) and instruct on their proper use.
  • Document patient evaluations, progress, and interventions accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (e.g., PTs, SLPs, physicians) to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
  • Monitor and re-evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and adhere to ethical and professional standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
  • Proof of current (or pending state licensure) as an Occupational Therapist in respective state
  • Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse patient populations.
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to client care.
