We have a client in New York City that is looking for a Bookkeeper / Assistant Controller. Our client is in the wholesale apparel industry, so this person will need to have experience working for a company in the wholesale business selling products through large retailers. They need to have experience issuing letters of credit, making duty payments, calculating and paying sales commissions, working up and paying duties, etc. They will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting the finance team with various financial activities. They will handle bank reconciliations, Accounts Payable, including analyzing and approving vendors invoices for payment, generating checks and initiating wire payments. Accounts Receivable including submitting orders for approval, monthly reconciliation, process credit card payments, etc. This person will need to have three plus years of experience and proficiency with Sage 100 accounting software.
