TAX ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS PRACTICE

Location: Tampa, FL

 

Our client, a highly-regarded AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a talented Tax Associate Attorney to join their Business Transactions Practice Group in Tampa. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated tax matters within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • LL.M. in Taxation is required.
  • Active Bar Admission in Florida.
    • Strong candidates from major markets that are seeking to relocate to Tampa will be considered.
  • 2–4 years of substantive experience in tax law.
  • Exposure to complex business transactions, securities offerings, corporate finance, and joint ventures is a plus.
  • Large law firm experience highly preferred.
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team in a client-service-oriented environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on federal and state tax implications of business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and joint ventures.
  • Assist with tax planning, compliance, and structuring strategies for corporations, partnerships, and private equity clients.
  • Draft and review transactional tax-related documents, including partnership agreements and operating agreements.
  • Conduct legal research on tax regulations and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Work closely with corporate attorneys on securities, finance, and business transactions.
