Responsibilities

  • Handle complex litigation matters in areas such as constitutional law, land use, eminent domain, and civil rights.

  • Lead or support all phases of litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.

  • Develop and implement strategic litigation approaches in high-stakes or evolving areas of law.

  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, briefs, and dispositive motions in state and federal court.

  • Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and assist with evidence development.

  • Collaborate with team members across offices to ensure consistent, high-quality client service.

  • Represent public and private clients with professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.

  • 7+ years of litigation experience, including significant work on complex cases in state and federal court.

  • Proven expertise in law and motion practice, including dispositive motions.

  • Strong writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills.

  • Experience building cases for trial, including discovery management and witness development.

  • Eminent domain, land use, or public entity representation experience is preferred.

  • A collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, and commitment to client success.
