Regulatory Compliance Manager

Our Client is a financially strong and rapidly growing banking institution known for its disciplined 
approach to compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency. Serving both consumer 
and commercial banking segments, the organization is expanding its compliance management 
capabilities and is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Manager to support regulatory oversight, 
internal audits, and ongoing compliance initiatives.

The Regulatory Compliance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring adherence to federal and 
state banking regulations, supporting enterprise-wide compliance initiatives, and collaborating 
closely with audit teams, risk stakeholders, and senior leadership. This role requires advanced 
knowledge of consumer compliance laws, strong analytical abilities, and hands-on experience 
conducting monitoring, testing, training, and regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate will be a 
subject matter expert across key regulatory frameworks, including ECOA, HMDA, FCRA, RESPA, 
TILA, TISA, EFTA, BSA, UDAP, Flood, and CRA.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage the Bank’s enterprise-wide compliance monitoring, 
    audit programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Partner with compliance and audit teams during annual risk assessments, regulatory 
    examinations, and internal audits.
  • Interpret and apply consumer compliance regulations; provide guidance to internal 
    stakeholders across all departments.
  • Conduct regular monitoring, testing, and reporting to ensure compliance with lending, 
    deposit, and consumer protection regulations.
  • Perform CRA, fair lending, and HMDA data analysis to support regulatory reporting and 
    exam readiness.
  • Maintain the Bank’s CRA public file and database of qualified CRA activities.
  • Identify compliance risks and vulnerabilities; assist leadership in developing and 
    executing corrective action plans.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and updates to keep management informed of compliance 
    activities and emerging regulatory issues.
  • Manage and deliver annual compliance training for team members to ensure ongoing 
    awareness and adherence to applicable regulations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a bank consumer compliance or regulatory role.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, consumer compliance, or audit within the banking 
    or financial services industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related discipline (advanced 
    certifications such as CRCM preferred).
  • CRCM or similar professional certification strongly preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of federal and state banking regulations and consumer 
    compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and apply regulatory requirements to daily operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear regulatory 
    guidance
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize 
    effectively, meet deadlines, and follow through.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Location: Knoxville, TN 
Salary: $90,000 - $140,000 P/A - Negotiable on experience
