Job Description

Our client is hiring a full-time Secondary Science Teacher to join their dynamic middle or high school faculty. This role may include teaching 8th Grade General Science, High School Biology, or a combination based on department needs. The ideal candidate is student-focused, collaborative, and eager to bring science content to life for a diverse group of learners.

  • Deliver engaging, standards-aligned science instruction to middle and/or high school students
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages inquiry and critical thinking
  • Collaborate with other science educators and instructional staff
  • Monitor student progress, administer assessments, and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Incorporate hands-on labs, interactive technology, and real-world applications
  • Maintain accurate records and communication with students and families
  • Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and ongoing professional development
  • Adhere to curriculum and instructional guidelines set by the school and Texas TEKS

Qualifications

  • Valid Texas teaching certificate (required)
  • Certification in Science at the secondary level (grades 6–12 or 8–12)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (required)
  • Experience teaching science in a classroom setting preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for teaching and student development
