top-10 AmLaw international law firm is seeking a Commercial Leasing Attorney to join its Real Estate Group. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced attorney who's interested in engaging with sophisticated commercial leasing deals across office, retail, and industrial real estate assets, without traditional partnership pressure.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing
  • 8+ years of substantive commercial leasing experience
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related agreements, including term sheets, letters of intent, work letters, and SNDAs
  • Background in representing landlords in complex and high-value leasing matters
  • Strong understanding of leasing market norms across property types
  • Solar leasing experience is a plus
  • Exceptional negotiation, drafting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and independently
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to align legal strategy with client objectives
 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Serve as lead attorney, advising real estate clients, including landlords, on commercial leasing matters
  • Draft and negotiate sophisticated office, retail, industrial, and life sciences leases
  • Prepare related agreements, including transfer consents, lender subordination agreements, letters of intent, work letters, and SNDAs
  • Supervise junior attorneys and provide guidance to colleagues as needed
  • Collaborate directly with clients, opposing counsel, property managers, brokers, and other industry stakeholders
  • Deliver high-quality, timely work product while managing multiple assignments and client needs

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Annual base salary is expected to range from $250,000 – $300,000, as determined by experience, qualifications, and market factors
