Our client—a rapidly growing, publicly traded company in the Oil & Gas sector—is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to take full ownership of all SEC and public company compliance filings. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for someone with deep knowledge of financial reporting requirements and a passion for accuracy, transparency, and timeliness.
This is not just another reporting role—you will be the go-to expert for all external financial reporting, including the preparation and submission of 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and 8-Ks. Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of SEC filings including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and other required disclosures, ensuring compliance with SEC, FASB, and US GAAP standards.
- Coordinate all aspects of the external reporting calendar, including timelines, reviews, internal approvals, and audit readiness.
- Work closely with internal accounting, legal, investor relations, and executive teams to ensure accuracy and consistency across all public disclosures.
- Draft and maintain financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A sections of public filings.
- Interface with external auditors and legal counsel to support audit processes and public filings.
- Ensure SOX compliance as it relates to financial reporting processes and internal controls.
- Continuously monitor and implement new accounting standards and SEC regulations, preparing technical memos as needed.
- Assist with earnings release preparation and other investor communications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.

2+ years of experience in financial reporting, ideally within a public company or Big 4 environment.
- Strong working knowledge of SEC reporting requirements, US GAAP, and SOX compliance.
- Prior experience with EDGAR filings, Workiva, or other financial reporting tools is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently across departments and with senior leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems and financial consolidation tools.
