Our client is a fast-growing SaaS technology company seeking a Senior Accountant to support continued expansion and operational excellence. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong accounting operations, and partnering closely across Finance, FP&A, and Operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end close; maintain reconciliations; support audits; ensure revenue/expense accounting integrity.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Reconcile key balance sheets (cash, AP/AR, inventory, deferred revenue, accruals).
  • Prepare variance analyses and partner with FP&A to (variances versus forecasts).
  • Perform consolidation and intercompany accounting, including elimination entries.
  • Maintain documentation, schedules, and audit-ready materials.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and interim reviews.
  • Prepare audit schedules (revenue, AR, AP, deferred revenue, payroll accruals).
  • Support improvements to internal controls, including SOX-lite controls if applicable.
  • Assist Senior Director of Financial Operations & Revenue with ASC 606 compliance for subscription & multi-element contracts.
  • Maintain/reconcile deferred revenue; ensure alignment with billings and contracts
  • Deal with Sales, CX, & Billing on item setup, price books, and deal desk compliance.
  • Prepare revenue schedules including backlog, churn, and NRR reporting.
  • Own the Accounts Payable process, including vendor onboarding, invoice coding, approvals, and payments (Bill.com or similar).
  • Manage employee T&E reimbursements in accordance with policy.
  • Support cash management, bank reconciliations, and weekly cash-flow reporting.
  • Oversee A/R, collections, and DSO improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with multi-state sales/use tax and nexus requirements.
  • Manage state sales tax filings via Avalara or equivalent.
  • Support income & franchise tax filings with external tax advisors.
  • Provide reconciliations and data integrity checks between GL and forecast models.
  • Budget process with accurate accounting inputs and departmental expense analyses.
  • Assist with expense variance explanations and alignments - actuals and forecasts.
  • Leverage Sage Intacct integrations (Salesforce, Genesis, Bill.com, Ramp, Versapay).
  • Identify/implement process improvements to shorten close and improve accuracy.
  • Support rollout of new workflows for new products/pricing.
  • Contribute to system testing, documentation, training, and optimization initiatives.
  • Collaborate across Accounting, FP&A, and Operations for accurate financial data.
  • Prepare reporting packages and materials for management, audit/board meetings.

Main Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - CPA or CPA preferred.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience (SaaS/technology preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, and core general ledger principles.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or comparable ERP; familiarity with integrated tools (Salesforce, Bill.com, Ramp, Avalara)  

Salary is $95,000 plus $10,000 bonus ($105,000 OTE)
