ABOUT THE ROLE:We are seeking a QA/QC Manager to lead and oversee quality assurance and quality control processes for on-site projects involving controls programming, electrical installations, and mechanical installations. This role will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and customers (e.g., TSA, airports) to ensure quality expectations are met and projects are delivered successfully. This position is primarily site-based and requires travel to customer locations.
The QA/QC Manager plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and under budget while meeting or exceeding quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement and manage the QA/QC system on-site across multiple disciplines
Perform and coordinate quality inspections with subcontractors and vendors
Liaise with customer representatives on all quality-related matters
Conduct material receipt inspections and distribute QA/QC documentation to subcontractors
Verify that all site activities meet required codes and standards
Participate in internal and external audits
Ensure all QC documentation is completed for project handover
Manage non-conformance reports and implement corrective actions
Review project specifications and monitor QC plan implementation
Complete and coordinate approval of QC technical submittals
Chair weekly QA/QC meetings with subcontractor quality personnel
Maintain up-to-date technical documentation related to site quality control
Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures across all site activities
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of QA/QC experience on construction or conveyor system projects
Experience with mechanical/electrical inspections and QA practices
Baggage Handling Systems project experience a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong ability to read specifications and contract drawings
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours as needed
Ability to obtain airport security clearance
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
