Chaloner has partnered with The Clean Energy Buyers Association (“CEBA”) on a search for an Associate, Global Programs, Markets & Policy. The Associate will report to the Manager, Global Programs.
Position Overview:
The Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) works to solve the toughest market and policy barriers and deploy solutions for energy customers to pursue clean energy and decarbonize grids. CEBA launched Global Programs in 2023 to accelerate clean energy procurement to achieve our mission of low-cost, reliable, carbon emissions free global energy systems. This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a growing team that is actively expanding a global portfolio of projects and programs to deliver on these goals.
We are seeking an Associate to support the development and execution of CEBA’s Global Programs market and policy portfolio. CEBA’s market and policy portfolio is concentrated in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, where growing corporate clean energy demand from CEBA members and their supply chain companies continues to outpace supply due to policy and market constraints. The Associate will support all activities related to CEBA’s global market and policy team’s core initiatives of (1) advancing policy and regulatory initiatives to expand market access and investment to accelerate clean energy deployment; and (2) expanding and improving the menu of clean energy procurement options through targeted policy advisory and advocacy activities.

The Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) has over 400 members representing more than $20 trillion in market capitalization, including the world's largest clean energy buyers, energy providers, service providers, and non-profit organizations. CEBA’s mission is to activate energy buyers and partners to advance low-cost, reliable, carbon emissions free global energy systems.
CEBA launched Global Programs in 2023 and now has a well-established and growing programmatic portfolio in the Asia Pacific region (APAC). The Clean Energy Procurement Academy (The Academy) is a comprehensive clean energy procurement education program focused on training supply chain companies in priority countries in APAC to develop and execute clean energy transactions that will help companies decarbonize their supply chains, and some of the most carbon intensive power grids in the world. The Academy was launched in China in 2023, expanded to Vietnam in 2024, and will be expanded to India, Indonesia, and South Korea in 2025. The Digital Academy, offering online training in clean energy procurement, will be launched in Q1 2025. CEBA also provides customized clean energy policy recommendations and market-based solutions based on international best practices to key policymakers and other stakeholders in priority countries in APAC.
