The company is in a greenfield engineering phase, with minimal legacy constraints and significant opportunity to define core architecture and technical direction from scratch. The Lead AI Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing the AI infrastructure that underpins both the product and internal systems.

Mission

The Lead AI Architect will be responsible for transforming the current functional alpha into a launch-ready, market-leading GenAI-powered hiring platform. Leveraging commercial LLMs and agentic AI technologies, this leader will design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AI infrastructure that powers key features such as intelligent interview assistance, candidate evaluation, and structured hiring tools. This role demands technical excellence, creative problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively in a high-velocity, results-oriented startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Elevate the current alpha product into a launch-ready, reliable GenAI hiring platform.
• Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable systems capable of supporting 250+ customers.
• Design and implement a robust AI orchestration layer optimized for commercial LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Develop advanced prompt engineering and context management for accurate and high-quality AI responses.
• Build internal AI infrastructure to enable rapid prototyping, iteration, and deployment of new features.
• Establish AI architecture standards, governance processes, and compliance practices (ISO 27001, SOC2 readiness).
• Continuously optimize AI performance, cost efficiency, and reliability (targeting 99.9% uptime and 99% accuracy).
• Enable effective cross-functional collaboration between AI, product, engineering, and design teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years in software architecture, with at least 3 years designing AI-powered applications using commercial LLMs.
• Proven track record in AI integration, prompt engineering, and scalable SaaS architecture.
• Experience in early-stage or high-growth startups.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Proficiency with AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic), cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), and modern workflows.
