Executive Sous Chef
We're looking for a polished, high-performing Executive Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine who thrives in high-volume, chef-driven environments. You'll work closely with the Executive Chef to lead daily kitchen operations, mentor the culinary team, and ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience. Day in the Life:
• Partner with the Executive Chef to oversee all daily kitchen operations
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing culinary team while maintaining a positive and accountable culture
• Execute high-volume service while maintaining exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation
• Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are consistently exceeded
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
• Train and mentor Sous Chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks to support long-term team development
• Monitor kitchen organization, cleanliness, and operational efficiency throughout every shift
• Collaborate on seasonal menu execution, specials, and culinary initiatives
• Maintain consistent communication with front-of-house leadership to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Lead by example during service while fostering teamwork, professionalism, and urgency
Requirements:
• Current Executive Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine experience in a high-volume, upscale or fine dining environment
• Strong tenure with demonstrated career progression
• Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities
• Experience managing labor, food cost, inventory, and kitchen systems
• Proven ability to develop, coach, and retain culinary talent
• Calm, confident leadership style with excellent communication skills
• Passion for hospitality, quality, and continuous improvement
• Willingness to relocate to Aspen, Colorado
• Culinary degree preferred but not required with equivalent leadership experience
