Our cafe is looking for an Executive Chef to lead the culinary program for a new, design-forward food concept beginning as a food truck and evolving into a café and private membership club.
Cafe is a hospitality-driven concept rooted in clean, whole, and deeply satisfying food, built for San Francisco and the community that shapes it. What begins as a small activation will grow into a café and eventually a club—bringing together food, design, and culture in a way that feels both grounded and quietly ambitious.
The menu reflects a thoughtful, ingredient-driven approach: organic coffee and ceremonial matcha, superfood beverages like olive oil cacao espresso and turmeric blends, smoothies built with olive oil, coconut, berries, and nut milks, pressed juices like Daily Green and Bright Beet, and a focused food offering including almond flour banana bread, coconut chia bowls, composed salads, and warm items like kimchi cheddar toast.
Everything is designed to feel nourishing, vibrant, and craveable—without excess.
The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading all culinary operations across the activation and future café, ensuring a menu that is consistent, seasonal, and reflective of the brand’s point of view. This role requires a chef who values simplicity, precision, and ingredient integrity, and who can translate that philosophy into a scalable, high-functioning kitchen.

We’re seeking a chef with both creative clarity and operational discipline—someone who can build systems, develop people, and execute at a high level while maintaining a strong culinary identity. Day in the Life:
• Lead daily kitchen operations across food truck service
• Oversee prep, execution, and service with a focus on consistency and quality
• Work closely with leadership on menu refinement and seasonal changes
• Source and manage relationships with local purveyors and vendors
• Train and develop a small, high-performing kitchen team
• Ensure all systems—from prep to plating—are efficient and repeatable
• Collaborate on pop-ups, events, and future programming as the concept grows
Requirements:
• 5+ years in a leadership culinary role (Executive Chef, CDC, or similar)
• Strong foundation in seasonal, ingredient-driven cooking
• Experience operating in high-standard, fast-paced environments
• Ability to build systems that support consistency at volume
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a startup-style, evolving environment
• Passion for food that is clean, balanced, and thoughtfully composed
