Restaurant IT Manager
Systems & Technology Manager (Restaurant Operations)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Systems & Technology Manager to support both the technical infrastructure and operational systems across a multi-unit restaurant group. This role sits at the intersection of IT and operations—ensuring technology is not only functional, but optimized to drive performance.
This individual will support POS systems, assist with technology rollouts, and partner closely with operations and finance teams to improve efficiency across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
POS & Operational Systems
- Support and maintain POS systems (Aloha → Toast transition), including setup, troubleshooting, and updates
- Ensure menu accuracy, pricing, and reporting consistency across all locations
- Act as a bridge between operations, finance, and IT systems
Restaurant Systems (R365 & Reporting)
- Support Restaurant365 (R365) and ensure accurate integration with POS systems
- Assist in troubleshooting with sales, labor, or inventory data formulas
- Help streamline reporting processes for leadership teams
Technology & Infrastructure
- Oversee basic IT needs across locations:
- POS hardware
- Printers, handhelds, back-office systems
- Wi-Fi/network troubleshooting
- Support new restaurant openings and tech setups
Security & Systems Standardization
- Assist in implementing and standardizing security camera systems
- Evaluate gaps across locations and help roll out consistent solutions
- Ensure systems are accessible, functional, and aligned with company standards
Operational Support & Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in systems and workflows, and recommend improvements
- Support initiatives that improve:
- Speed of service
- Accuracy of reporting
- Labor and cost tracking
- Train managers on systems and best practices
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in:
- Restaurant operations, IT support, or systems management
- Experience with:
- POS systems (Aloha, Toast preferred)
- Restaurant365 (R365) or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of restaurant workflows (FOH/BOH)
- Basic technical knowledge:
- Networking
- Hardware troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams
What Makes This Role Different
This is not a traditional IT role—this person:
- Understands how restaurants operate, not just how systems work
- Can connect technology to performance (sales, labor, guest experience)
- Acts as a partner to operators, not just a support function
What We’re Looking For
- Operationally minded problem-solver
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats
- Someone who can bring structure to growing systems
- Growth-oriented and excited to scale with the company
