Executive Chef
A growing, Kansas City–based upscale casual concept is seeking an energetic and driven Executive Chef to join our team as we continue to expand.

The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all back-of-house operations, ensuring excellence and consistency in every dish, and leading the culinary team with professionalism and purpose. This role is ideal for a confident, hands-on leader who thrives under pressure, embraces a high-energy environment, and is passionate about coaching others while maintaining elevated food quality and standards.

Day in the Life:
- Oversee all back-of-house operations, including inventory management and expo
- Lead by example in professionalism, urgency, and culinary standards
- Train, coach, and cross-train team members across BOH and FOH
- Maintain and enforce cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
- Provide clear feedback, delegate effectively, and ensure accountability and follow-through
- Drive consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution
- Remain calm, composed, and solutions-focused during high-pressure and event-driven service
- Collaborate with leadership to build strong systems, processes, and team culture
Requirements:
- 1+ year of leadership experience in a fast-paced, full-service kitchen
- Strong team-first mindset with high standards for execution and consistency
- Excellent communication skills, integrity, and emotional intelligence
- Proven leadership ability with strong delegation and follow-through
- Ability to remain level-headed and make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
- Commitment to maintaining excellence in cleanliness, safety, and overall operations
