Location: Primarily in-person across New York City boroughs (Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island) with generous flexibility for remote work when not needed on-site.

Note: Must have a JD, be admitted to the New York Bar, and have at least 5 years of experience in family court, criminal defense, immigration, or related public interest law.

Job Description

  • Supervise and guide paralegal and investigator teams to ensure high-quality client support.
  • Oversee externship, fellowship, and pro bono programs, including partnerships with local law schools.
  • Lead special projects that enhance legal operations, technology integration, and litigation strategy.
  • Collaborate with leadership to strengthen office-wide efficiency, training, and policy development.
  • Support the Managing Director of Litigation in relationship management and organizational initiatives.
  • Develop procedures and systems that improve case management and align with CFR’s mission and values.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active New York State Bar admission.
  • 5+ years in relevant legal practice areas such as family, criminal, or immigration law.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience (3+ years preferred).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice for marginalized communities.
