Note: This hybrid position requires employees to be on-site three days a week at our client’s New York City office.

Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have at least 2 years of bankruptcy law experience and active bar admission in New York.

Job Description

  • Handle Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters
  • Represent clients in bankruptcy court and manage adversary proceedings
  • Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic case advice
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to resolve complex issues
  • Manage client communications and maintain strong relationships
  • Support litigation matters related to insolvency and restructuring

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • At least 2 years of bankruptcy law experience
  • Active admission to the New York State Bar (additional state admissions a plus)
  • Strong academic record and legal writing skills
  • Litigation experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
