Maintenance Supervisor – 2nd Shift (1695809) $85k – $100k per year

JOB SUMMARY:
Maintenance Supervisor MUST have some previous background in a food environment, utilizing a blend of mechanical, industrial and electrical skills. This Supervisor position has an active role in directing and leading a 4-6 person maintenance team of techs on 2nd shift in a food manufacturing environment that is cold for food safety.MAJOR TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must have strong knowledge and experience for troubleshooting and repair in the following areas:
- Electrical – 3 Phase Pwr., Elect Code, Print Reading, Drives.
- Electronics – Digit/Analog Understanding, Board or Component Level Repair.
- PLC – Troubleshoot, identify and fix malfunctions. (Allen Bradley).
- Instrumentation – Calibrations of Sensitive Equipment.
- Hydraulics – Print Reading, Equipment Rebuilds.
- Pneumatics – Print Reading, Equipment Rebuilds.
- Mechanical – Print Reading, Drives (Chain/Belt), Pumps, Conveyors, etc.
- Welding – Mig, Tig, Stick.
- Cutting – Torch, Plazma Cutter, Die Grinder, etc.
- Brazing – Silver Solder, Brass.
- Plumbing – General Layout, Print Reading, Sweating Pipe.
- Basic & Industrial Skills.
- Safety – Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space.
- HVAC – Ammonia and Freon Systems, Glycol Chillers, Rooftop Units.
- Combustion – Furnaces, Ovens, Heaters.
- Boilers – High Pressure and Low Pressure.
- Compressors – General Knowledge and Operation.
- Fire & Sprinkler Systems – Print Reading, General Knowledge, Basic Operation.
- General Building Maintenance – Print Reading, General Layout, Roofing, Lighting, etc.
- Able to direct and lead a maintenance team, interact with other departmental supervisors, etc.
- Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
- Must take responsibility in your work area to produce a safe and quality food product.
- Resolve problems while providing innovative solutions.
- Ability to work on plant facilities of various forms safely and effectively.
- Maintain records and prepare reports related to the work regarding equipment, supplies and materials.
- Prepare written reports on projects and equipment conditions.
Requirements:
- MUST have some previous background in a food manufacturing environment.

- Conflict resolution experience and expertise including identifying conflict potential for prevention as well as resolving issues as they occur.
- Experience in manufacturing processing, packaging, and building utilities.
- Responsible for effectively and thoroughly performing all required duties of the Maintenance Supervisor position while adhering to all GMPs.
- Ability to effectively communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.
- Adept and competent on all Microsoft Office programs.
- Four years’ experience in mechanical and electrical manufacturing machine and building systems maintenance.
Required Eligibility:
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Completion of recognized program in vocational training for the mechanical or electric trades may be substitutable for two years’ experience.
Physical Requirements & Environment:
- Must be able to perform physical and essential requirements of the job as needed including (bending, squatting, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, crouching, standing, sitting, lifting to 100lbs).
- Must be able to comfortably work in cold temperatures (38-45 degrees) when working on the manufacturing floor on machinery.
- Warm environment when working in Maintenance Room Office.

Schedule & Shift hours & Overtime:
- Regularly scheduled Shift: (3pm-12am)
- Must be able to work 10-hour shifts and Saturdays for 40 and more hours weekly.
- Mandatory overtime will be worked regularly, as necessary.
- Must be able to work varied, extended and additional shifts, including weekends and holidays. Perishable food industry standard.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, although most of the time this plant works very efficiently and has good, reliable systems in place with things running quite smoothly. There is time for preventative maintenance, etc.
