Sr. Electrical Engineer – Data Centers (1709622) $160k – $180k per year - Base + Bonus
Location: Near Regional Office
Prefer: Kansas City, Pittsburg, Charlotte or Raleigh, NC, Atlanta, Phoenix, Dallas

This group operates in a fast-paced environment, delivering innovative solutions for cutting-edge projects. You’ll work alongside experts in facility planning, design, engineering, construction, technology, and energy services for data center clients.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:
- Lead design-only, design-build, and construction projects for electrical engineering deliverables in data center projects.
- Provide subject matter expertise in data center design.
- Mentor and train early-career professionals.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers on complex projects.
- Build strong client relationships and engage in client-facing roles.
- Support business development activities, including scope-of-work creation, level-of-effort estimates, and site visits.
- Continuously develop technical expertise and ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and quality programs.
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables, calculations, and recommendations for equipment/material selection.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and quality requirements while delegating tasks effectively.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Identify client needs and drivers, ensuring project alignment with their goals.
- Serve as a technical specialist, applying advanced engineering concepts to unique challenges.
- Mentor team members and participate in workforce planning, performance management, and succession planning.
Management Responsibilities
Supervise team members, including hiring, performance management, and pay administration.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 11 years of related work experience.
- Active engineering registration or licensure (U.S. Professional Engineer License or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Previous project lead experience in data center design.
- Knowledge of redundancy and resiliency risk factors.
- Understanding of hyperscale, edge, and colocation data center design differences.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and 3D modeling, including creating complex families with custom parameters.
- Familiarity with data center tier rating systems.
- Experience with BIM 360, Navisworks, Revit work sets, view templates, and project phasing.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to train and mentor professionals.
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing activities.
- Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and staffing.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.
Certifications
Active engineering registration or licensure to support Engineer of Record (EOR) requirements.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
Hybrid or flexible work options may be available after 90 days based on performance and manager discretion.
