Transmission Line Design Engineer (1707105)   $110k – $150k+ per year

Full Time; Direct Hire; Hybrid Remote

 

Job Description:

The Transmission Engineer plays a crucial role in the engineering, design, and analysis of transmission lines, contributing to the development of comprehensive project packages. This position is instrumental in advancing transmission line engineering.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the engineering and design of high voltage (69-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD.
  • Prepare construction documents including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation and assembly drawings.
  • Conduct detailed analysis to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Provide field support during construction.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Perform work involving conventional engineering practices, which may include a variety of complex features.
  • Coordinate departmental and divisional project studies and report preparation assignments.
  • Devise new approaches to problems encountered.
  • Adhere to codes and standards while delivering innovative solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

       • B.S. in Engineering from an ABET accredited program

 

Experience Required:

  • 6-10 years of experience required with Transmission Line Design and Engineering

Required:

  • P.E. or in the process of obtaining it
  • PLS-CADD proficiency required
  • GIS Software 
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Foundation Design Software (MFAD, LPILE)
