Director of Human Resources needed in Lawrence, KS! Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of HR policies and initiatives to support recruiting, staffing, performance management, training, compensation, and benefits.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals and drive employee development programs.
- Oversee employee relations, ensuring a positive workplace culture and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Manage HR-related software systems and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Provide coaching and support to management teams on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution and performance improvement plans.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, and manage vendor relationships to ensure competitive offerings.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute for education requirements).
- 5+ years of HR management experience, including experience in leading teams.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with professionalism and integrity.
